Show M. LA. SCHEDULES CONVENTION MONDAY EVENING Meeting Will Feature Talks On Winter's Work By M. I. A. Stake Leaders Kolob stake M. I. A. will conduct a convention outlining plans for the season's work on Monday evening, eve-ning, at the Fourth ward chapel. An invitation has been extended to all stake and ward M. I. A. officers, of-ficers, teachers, and department leaders to be in attendance. Also, members of the Stake presidency and members of the ward bishoprics bish-oprics in charge of the M. I. A. work, are expected to attend. The convention will begin at 7 p. m., with a meeting for stake and ward executive officers. At 7:30 p. m., a general session will convene. At this time, Supt. William Wil-liam T. Tew, of the Y. M. M. I. A. stake board, will discuss the subject, sub-ject, "What Can the M. I. A. Con-tribue Con-tribue to the New World Order." Following the general assembly, a consultation period will be held under direction of the various stake leaders. Later, a demonstration demonstra-tion in cultural arts will be fea- tured. i Directing the various departmental depart-mental meetings will be Supt. William Wil-liam T. Bird, Scouts; Mrs. Ronald Thorpe, Junior Jun-ior Girls; Mrs. Milton Harrison, Mrs. Howard Maycock and Mrs. C. G. Russell, Beehive; Mrs. Venice W. Springmeyer, dance; Ted Hay-mond, Hay-mond, dance management; Twain Tippetts, drama; Mrs. William Schreiner, speech, arts, music; Mrs. Bliss Hoover and Mrs. V. C. Mendenhall; Era, George Simkins, stake high council advisor for the M. I. A., and Mrs. Earl Condie. Directing the convention plans are members of the M. I. A. stake boards, including Supt. William T. Tew and his newly sustained counselors, coun-selors, Erwin Sheffield and William Wil-liam Schreiner, and Norman Dunn, secretary; Mrs. Harold Christensen, Christen-sen, president of the Y. W. M. I. A. stake board and her counselors, Mrs. Rea Straw and Mrs. Jennie Clyde, with Clara Harmer, secretary. |
