Show WAR REPORTERS' THRILLS ARE PICTURED AT RIVOLI Breath-taking excitement, romance ro-mance and drama, mystery and intrigue in-trigue are unfolded in the thrill-packed thrill-packed story of Walter Wanger's "Foreign Correspondent," which was directed by Alfred Hitchcock ith a prominent stellar cast and is slated for a gala premiere at the Rivoli theatre on Friday. Mr. Wanger decided to make "Foreign Correspondent" in recognition of the intrepid group of American newspapermen who are serving as the nation's eyes and ears during the European debacle, risking their lives daily in order to keep their own people informed of the rapidly shifting panorama of war. "Foreign Correspondent" has in its principal roles Joel McCrea, Laraine Day,1 Herbert Marshall, George Sanders, Robert Benchley, 'Albert Basserman, Harry Davenport, Daven-port, Edmund Gwenn, and Eduar-do Eduar-do Cianelli. Following the completion comple-tion of his sensational hit, "Rebecca," "Re-becca," Alfred Hitchcock, known throughout the world as the master mas-ter of screen thrillers, went to work on the script of "Foreign Correspondent," and with Joan Harrison and Charles Bennett wrote the original screenplay. James Hilton and Robert Bench-ley Bench-ley contributed dialogue to the final script. |
