W. Whiting announces the forthcoming marriage of her daughter, Venice, to Robert L. Springmeyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Chase of Provo, the marriage mar-riage to take place June 10, at the home of the bride in this city. Immediately after the ceremony, cere-mony, the couple plan to leave for San Francisco, Calif., where they will make their home. The bride-elect will receive her diploma from the college of fine arts at the Brigham Young university uni-versity at commencement exercises exer-cises that morning. She has taken a prominent part in dramatic and dancing activities at the university during her four years at the school. She is affiliated with the Val Norn social unit, of which she was president last year. She has also served as an officer in the White Key service and scholastic organization, and was vice-president of her class this year. She is a member of the Theta Alpha Phi honorary dramatic fraternity and was listed in "Who's Who In Am- erican Colleges and Universities" two years. Mr. Springmeyer will receive his diploma from Stanford uni-1 versity at Palo Alto, Calif., on j June 14. He is a member of Tau j Beta Pi, engineering fraternity, in which he has also served as an officer the past year. He is also a member of the Chi Psi fraternity. A former student at Page Military Mili-tary academy, Mr. Springmeyer will receive his commission as a second lieutenant in the ordnance division of the U. S. army and will go into active service on June 30. |
