Show WINNERS NAMED IN STOCK SHOW HELD ON FRIDAY Local Dairyman Receives Award Offered By Springville Civic Groups Approximately 75 head of dairy cattle representing some of the best herds in Springville and Utah county, were exhibited in the Springville Dairy Stock show Friday. Fri-day. DeVere Weight and LeGrande Jarman received the special awards offered by the Chamber of Commerce, Com-merce, the Junior Chamber of Commerce, and the Kiwanis club for the first place produce of dam in the Jersey and Guernsey divisions di-visions of the show. John A. Fox of this city exhibited exhibit-ed the grand champion Jersey bull, the grand champion Holstcin cow, and the junior champion Holstcin. Hol-stcin. Del Gay of Provo exhibited the grand champion Jersey cow, the junior champion Jersey, the reserve re-serve champion Jersey bull, the senior champion Jersey cow. He also received a blue ribbon for the junior get of sire, breeder's herd, and female breeder's herd in the Jersey division. W. H. Hoover of Provo entered the grand champion Guernsey bull, the grand champion Guernsey cow, the senior champion Guernsey bull. A. G. Peterson of Springville exhibited the reserve champion Jersey cow. Professor George B. Caine of the U. S. A. C, Logan, judged the animals entered in the show. Special ribbon awards were presented pre-sented 4-H club exhibitors and a number of dairy animals were also entered by F. F. A. members. Many dairymen and others interested in-terested visited the stock show during the day. |
