Show WHO IS TO BLAME? Representative Dewey Short of Missouri, wants to compel the Army and Navy to proceed with the trial of Rear Admiral Kimmel and Major General Short. He says the courts should convene within with-in six months and ascertain whether any blame for the success of the Japanese attack rests upon the Secretaries of State, War and Navy or the President. We wonder if Mr. Short would like to include in the inquiry an effort to ascertain what responsibility rests upon isolationists in Congress for repeated refusals to vote adequate sums for national defense and their stubborn unwillingness to face the facts of the international in-ternational situation. |
