Show Black Hawkers' Encampment To Start August 12 Approximately 40,000 are expected ex-pected to attend the annual statewide state-wide Black Hawk Encampment scheduled to be held August 12, 13 14, 15. 16 at Richfield, according accord-ing to an announcement made by the state captain, Alma Fullmer, here today. The Encampment will be held in connection with the Kow Kounty Karnival or Sevier County fair, with the big day being observed Tuesday. On that day a mammoth parade will be held in which will be entered the Springville band and floats from this sectien of the state, together with entries from other chapters over the state. Captain Fullmer reports that more than forty tents from Springville are expected to be set up at the Encampment. Plans concerning the delegation that will be in attendance from Springville will be discussed at a special meeting to be held at 9 p. m. Sunday on the city park following fol-lowing the regular weekly band concert. Captain Fullmer, with T. T. Banks, adjutant general, and A. T. Money, first vice-commander, both of Spanish Fork, plan to leave Monday for St. George and Cedar City, where chapters of the State Black Hawk organization are being be-ing organized. |
