Show WOMAN FORFEITS BAIL ON DRUNKEN CHARGE A woman about forty years old was picked up by city night marshals mar-shals Sunday at 2:00 a. m. on a drunkenness charge and lodged in the city jail until later that morning morn-ing when she was released on $30 bail. The bail was forfeited when she failed to appear to answer the charge Monday morning. The woman was barefooted when apprehended on Main street. Her purse and other belongings were found Sunday morning in a vacant lot in the rear of one of the business busi-ness houses. William J. Miller of Provo was fined $125 in the city court on four counts, as follows: $50 for drunkenness; drunk-enness; $35 for abusive language; $15 for disturbing the peace, and $25 for interfering with an officer, offi-cer, and also ten days in the Utah county jail. Reed S. Boswell, arrested with Miller on a drunkenness charge, was fined $50 for drunkenness, $15 for disturbing the peace, $35 for abusive language, in addition to ten days in the county jail. Frank Smith, arrested on a drunkenness charge, was fined 30 days at hard labor for the city and is now working out his fine. |
