Show R. V. STUBBS SERVICES TODAY Funeral services for Richard Virge Stubbs of Roy, Utah, former Provo man and husband of Grace Clegg Stubbs, formerly of Springville, Spring-ville, will be held today at 1:30 p.m. at Riverdale. Mr. Stubbs, son of Mrs. Joseph A. Stubbs of Provo, was killed instantly in a terrific head-on collision of two trucks seven miles north of Ogden Monday night, marking Utah's forty-second traffic traf-fic fatality for 1940. He was crushed underneath the wreckage of his oil transport truck after it collided with a huge trailer-truck driven by Francis Henry Schlele of Ogden, who faces possible loss of one eye as the most serious of his injuries. He was born May 5. 1904, In Provo, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jo-seph A. Stubbs. He married Grace Clegg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eastham Clegg of Springville. He j was a bookkeeper for many years, i and worked in California for some time. Surviving are his widow, two sons, Richard, 7, and Stanley, 3, of Roy; his mother, of Provo; two brothers, Earl Stubbs and Moyle Stubbs, both of Provo; and five sisters, Mrs. Jess Smith, Mrs. Fred Adamson, Mrs. Don Adam-son, Adam-son, and Mrs. Clyde Olsen, all of Provo, and Mrs. Ferrell Jorgen-sen, Jorgen-sen, American Fork. |
