Show FUTURE FARMERS WIN STATE CONTEST AWARDS At the state Future Farmers convention held at Logan Thursday, Thurs-day, Friday and Saturday, Springville Spring-ville entrants in judging contests and farm mechanics contests made an excellent showing. Keith Beardall won first in the state for judging horses and David Alleman was high-point man in the state. In farm mechanics, Springville as a team won second, and the Springville livestock judging judg-ing team placed seventh. Forty-eight Forty-eight teams were entered in the judging colIUsts. Cecil Johnson and Reed Garlick received Future Farmer degrees. Lloyd Barker, Wayne Bartholomew Bartholo-mew and David Alleman comprised compris-ed the farm mechanics team. Lloyd worked in woodwork, Wayne in drafting, and David in the blacksmith department. Fifteen Springville F. F. A. members were entered in the contests con-tests under the direction of Faculty Fac-ulty Advisers W. H. Anderson and A. E. Jacobsen. |
