LEGION SEEKING OLD RECORDS FOR ARMED MEN The Springville post of the American Am-erican Legion and Auxiliary, under direction of Commander Harlan Boyer and President Marjorie Frandsen, are conducting a drive to secure more than 3000 old phonograph phon-ograph records in this city. The 3rive is to continue this week. The records, which will be received re-ceived in any condition, are to be taken to the Fire hall, or if they will contact either the Legion or cannot be delivered if contributors Auxiliary officers arrangements will be made for delivery. The records are to be melted and new recordings made and then sent to recreation centers for men in the armed forces in all parts of the world. Commander Boyer pointed out that the collection of old records is just a small gesture which could be made by townspeople and which might bring immeasurable immeas-urable pleasure and entertainment to the men away from home. Old records will probably be found in every home in the community com-munity and in most cases a useful place for them will be welcomed. Everyone, therefore, is urged to bring whatever records they would like to contribute to the Fire hall this week. |
