Show FINES PAID TO CITY FOR LAW VIOLATIONS Adding considerable funds to the city treasury, several fines were paid the past few days by violators of various city laws and ordinances, according to a report from the city police department. M. H. Sturt of Nephi, Frank Wilson and Earl Davis were each fined $15 for fast driving, while for the same charge, Anna Close and J. F. Francon were fined $10. J. M. Cash was fined a total of $65 on three separate counts, namely: battery, disturbing the peace and drunkenness, and Alfred Al-fred Nelson was fined $25 for drunkenness. For running a stop sign, N. L. Whiting was fined $3 and for improper im-proper parking, Eugene Roundy paid a fine of $1. The Troy Laundry, which refused re-fused to pay a city license this year, although the license has been purchased other years, paid a fine of $10 in the city court. Paul Bowers pleaded not guilty to fast driving and his trial is set for Friday at 6 p. m., in the city court. |
