Show WATER MUST BE CONSERVED OFFICIALS STATE Considerable difficulty is being experienced by the -city in keeping sufficient water pressure in our culinary system to satisfy all demands. de-mands. This is largely due to the fact that we have had an unusually dry Spring and citizens have found it necessary to use eulinary water for irrigation purposes pur-poses on their gardens. Also, regulations regu-lations concerning hours of sprinkling sprink-ling have not been complied with and other regulations disregarded in many instances, according to city officials. This has had the effect of reducing the pressure in outlying sections, including both cemeteries, and has made it impossible im-possible to keep them in their usual us-ual good condition, officials state. However, everything possible has been done and night sprinkling resorted re-sorted to in an effort to take full advantage of every opportunity to keep them properly irrigated and cared for. Some people, however, have taken it upon themselves to turn the water on their lots at night, or when no caretaker was on duty, and allowed the water to run until graves have caved in, either on their own or adjoining lots, and this has caused a number of headstones to tip over. To fill (Continued on page ten) CITY WATER... (Continued from page one) up the caved-in graves and straighten up the headstones, has entailed considerable work and expense and taken the time of caretakers which should have been devoted to other necessary work, officials state. It is hoped that no further trouble of this sort will be experienced and that more stringent string-ent action will not be necessary.
