Show Devils Play Wasatch Academy In League Grid Game Friday The Springville Red Devils will open their 1950 league football schedule this Friday afternoon beginning be-ginning at 3 p.m. on the Mt. Pleasant gridiron at Wasatch Academy, Wasatch Acad-' emy is playing in the Nebo division divis-ion for the first time in the lea-gun's lea-gun's history. Fresh from a 6-0 triumph over Lehi on the latter's field last Friday, Fri-day, the Red Devils will have their hands full Friday in what they hope will be their first league lea-gue victory. Coach George Pehr-son's Pehr-son's club is one of the biggest seen here for some time but whether wheth-er they can withstand the tricky T and the home field advantage of the Academy eleven, yet remains re-mains to be seen. At Lehi last Friday, the Red Devils made a good account of themselves despite several errors and fumbles. Lehi outgained the Devils but failed to tally a score. Springville's lone touchdown came with a 40 yard sustained drive near the end of the third quarter. The drive was sparked by passes from Billy Parker to big Glen Weight and was culminated when Parker went through the center of the line for the touchdown on a six-yard plunge.
