Eldon Ritchie was second to Whitehead and received a watch also. Kay Johnson, third place winner, was presented with a handsome trophy. Lloyd Whitehead Wins Bowling Crown in Annual Tourney Here W Lloyd Whitehead became the proud possessor of a beautiful 17 jewel Gruen wrist watch which was his prize for winning the Duke Jewelry bowling tourney which fin- or the first part of December. Lloyd won over sixty other bowlers bowl-ers with a handicap total of 1216 pins. His nearest competitor, Eldon Ritchie also became owner of a wrist watch for second place with a handicap score of 1206 pins. Third place honors went to Kay Johnson with 1201 pins who now displays on his mantle a beautiful trophy. Mr. Melvin Duke, sponsor of the event, presented the prizes to the winners following the final game of the tourney last Sunday. The Duke Jewelry tournament will' be held again next November |
