The Ford car was delivered' to the high school by MrAnderson Wed. and school officials were told to make good use of the car without charge. j i A program designed to reduce :' automobile accidents and produce f. better automobile drivers, is be-c be-c ing initiated at the high school for t the second consecutive year, it was announced Wednesday. 5 Through the program,, each jj Sophomore will be given at least one hour actual driving experience ' between now and the time school I closes in the spring. One hour - every day has been devoted the past few months on book work and instruction on driving and the things the students . have learned are to be put into practice, according accord-ing to Principal Paul K. Walker. Through the generosity of G. Lowry Anderson, the high school is furnished a Ford car to drive ? free of charge. J. F. Wingate will ) be in charge of the driving and 1 will accompany each student on his "j driving lessons. It will depend on the aptitude of the student whether or not the full hour of experience is needed, Mr. Walker said.
