Our shelves are stocked i i with the finest food available i and at the lowest prices in years. They are learning where ij our food comes from and how :! our grocery man keeps it fresh for us. We have a new cash register to help us keep track of our money, i In Mrs. Lewis' room, Joe Shepherd entertained us with 1 patriotic vocal singing Friday. He dedicated one number to ;;. his girls, Karla and Marcia. i They all sang America with ;' him. Rosyln's mother, Mrs. Harriet Harri-et Strong told us about the life of George Washington. Roslyn served punch and cookies to I our group. Jay Grant Christianson, in ;', Mrs. Anderson's room, found a wasp's nest and brought it to I school. !' The boys and girls in her i room are studying plants and I how they grow. In Mrs. LeRoy's room Dennis Baker had a birthday. ' Last Friday we had a pro- gram for Washington's birthday. birth-day. Some of our mother's I came. Mrs. Merrill's second 1 grade also came. Cherylon Liston is ill and is I going to have her tonsils out when she gets to feeling better. Connie Weight is leaving the third grade and is going to Dayton, Ohio for three or four months. The class will miss Connie but Connie has promised to write us a letter and tell us I about her new school. We hope our class can write letters to ! Connie's third grade in Dayton, Day-ton, Ohio. In health the Fourth grade is studying about teeth. They have some teeth on the board ) that are three feet high. Last week we drew a profile picture of George Washington. , At noon Monday, Raymond II Wood and Richard Lovell found i i a water snake and brought it 1 1 to school.
