Show Meeting Held To Discuss Girls' Softball League . At a softball meeting held in l Salt Lake City during the past week, a tentative lineup of teams in the state league was set up and a discussion as to where the s'ate tourney should be held was 1 carried on. According to reports, the southern teams were in favor of holding it in Provo and plans will go forward to bring it there, according to John Roberson, local softball enthusiast pushing the project. Mr. Roberson stated that girls in Springville who wish to play during the coming season can do so by contacting him. If there are enough interested a team will be formed here otherwise, they could join the Utah County Buzzers, a I team made up of girls from this area. Teams represented at the Salt Lake City meeting who signified entry again this year included Salt Lake Rockettes, Less Taylor Motor, M & L Coal, Johnson's Service, Hyde Park, Utah County All-Stars, Utah County Buzzers, West Jordan Juniors, Preston, Idaho, Ida-ho, West Jordan Seniors, Shamrocks, Sham-rocks, Coalville, Sapphires, Mink-ettes, Mink-ettes, Providence (Cache Valley) and Bingham Canyon. Beverly Twelves represented the Utah County All-Stars at the meet. |
