Show for the season was 110 fires covering cover-ing 6,790 acres. The 1949 records show 86 fires burning 3,902 acres. Lightning fires in 1950 were 10 more than in 1949 while railroads increased 17. Smokers' fires decreased de-creased 8. The state and counties spent $11,500 in suppressing fires in 1950. This does not include contributed con-tributed time by oooperating agencies and help by individuals given free. Thanks are extended to all who helped in fire prevention and suppression sup-pression and congratulations go to the counties who had no fires on state and private lands.
