Show Third Ward Goes "Over Top," Secures Their Quota of Funds For Ward Chapel $ a dinner served by the Relief Society So-ciety to the Kiwanis Club, and a basketball benefit at which the Kolob Third and Second wards stake winners and rimners up respectively, re-spectively, played the champions and runners-up of Utah stake. The Third ward of Kolob stake held a successful "Over the Top" banquet Saturday nite as the culmination cul-mination of a week of fund-raising activities. The recreation hall of the new Third-Ninth ward chapel was filled fil-led as over three hundred ward members gathered to celebrate the completion of the building fund drive. Various organizations participated participa-ted in helping to make the function func-tion a success. The MIA had charge of the dinner, the Sunday school arranged the program, the Primary had charge of the tables and decorations, and the building committee supervised ticket sales. Bishop V. Cornell Mendenhall reported that $3500.00 was raised in the final week of the drive, which included besides the banquet |
