Show 'Mrs. Glen Sumsion President of Legion Auxiliary Mrs. Glen W. Sumsion was named nam-ed president of the American Legion Le-gion Auxiliary at a special election elec-tion meeting on Wednesday of last week. She succeeds Mrs. Earl S. Child, who was in charge of the meeting held at Memorial Hall. Other new officers are Mrs. Eu-dora Eu-dora Jensen, first vice-president; Mrs. Ed Johnson, second vice-president; vice-president; Mrs. Bird Brown, chaplain; chap-lain; Mrs. J. M. Miller and Mrs. W. E. Johnson, sergeants-at-arms. Mrs. Lela Nelson was re-elected unit historian and Mrs. Harold Miner, treasurer. A secretary is to be appointed by the president. At the meeting also, Mrs. Beth Johnson presented checks to the poppy poster winners, Linda Weight, first in the Senior high school; David Anderson, second; Carol Moon, third; Pat Beach, first in the junior high; Judy Law, second; Marlene Warren and Carla Wilcox third; Diana AUred, first elementary grades; Barbara Bird, second; Charles Anderson, third. Announcement was made of the Legion convention to be held at Brigham City June 21, 22 and 23 and delegates were asked to get in touch with the president. |
