Show Lions, Ladies Join lo Hear Talk By Byron Wardle. At a combined dinner meeting f the Lions and Lady Lions .held Thursday evening, the group heard an interesting report by ron Wardle of his experiences Mle in Asia on foreign service with the state department. 8e described how he became affiliated af-filiated with the foreign service Post and the requirements which ,fe expected of the personnel. He Ascribed living conditions as be-mff be-mff very poor, but Americans are epected to have at least seven Personal servants because of their station. He described the heat as eing above 103 degrees both night ' ui day and the precautions one must take to conserve energy to "fill his assignments. Both informative in-formative and interesting, Mr. ardle gave the group a vivid kscribtion of life in the countries ln which he worked. Door prizes went to Mrs. Arnold Roylance and Jim Nielson. Tables were beautifully decorated decor-ated with small candle-lit Christmas Christ-mas trees and other holiday motifs mo-tifs under the direction of Mrs. Bill Straw, Mrs. Jack Robinson, Mrs. Howard Sanford and Mrs. Erling Roylance. |
