Mathosnis explained that Geneva Steel Commpany has encouraged en-couraged and will continue to encourage en-courage orderly and sound development develop-ment projects in Utah County He further explained that Geneva Stool Company agrees that it is desn-able to provide Utah County with adequate sewage disposal plants in order to correct the prevailing pre-vailing pollution, of Utah lake As evidence of Geneva Steel Company's Com-pany's interest in this problem, he said that a modern primary and secondary sewage disposal plant which is adequate for present and future requirements was constructed con-structed at the Geneva plant of Geneva Steel Co. In clarification of Geneva Steel Company's position with respect to a proposed county-wide sewage disposal dsitrict as compared to separate plants in the various municipalities, Dr. Mathesuis stated sta-ted that the company would have no objection to the establishment of such a district if an engineering survey showed it to be preferable to the alternate procedure. However, How-ever, he pointed out that - if a county-wide district were formed, Geneva Steel Co. would protest as provided for by law, the inclusion of its properties in the district on the ground that its properties would not be directly benefitted by such a county-wide program. |
