Show ! Receives Wings . . . I . ' - 1 ' Cpl. Kenneth L. Russell Our Servicemen . . Kirk Davies, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Davies of Maple-ton Maple-ton enjoyed a few days home on leave last week from his station at Olathe, Kansas. Pfc. Lynn Bjarnson has returned re-turned to his base at Fort Campbell, Camp-bell, Ky., after a week's furlough spent in Springville. He came home to attend the funeral services ser-vices for his brother-in-law, Keith Daybell. Erwin Haws spent three days of this week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in Springville on leave from Camp Carson, Colo., where he is training with the Air Force. Cpl. Kenneth L. Russell, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Russell of this city received his wings upon graduation grad-uation in the air corps and has been transferred to Randolph Field, Texas to begin his combat crew training. Cpl. Rusell, enlisted in the air force in January -of this year and took his basic training at Lackland, Lack-land, Texas. From here, he was transferred to Lowry Air Force Base, Colorado, and began his remote re-mote control turret mechanic schooling. He was one of the three highest in the graduation class and received his promotion to corporal. cor-poral. He continued training at Lowry Field taking gunnery training train-ing and while training with his crew, he flew nine missions in a B-29 Superfortress. T-Sgt. Merle D. Kensinger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Merle D. Ken-singer Ken-singer of Cheyenne, Wyo., has been transfered from Cheyenne, Wyo., to Clovis, N. M. Sgt. Kensinger is one of five air force personnel sent to Cl-vis Cl-vis to rehabilitate the air base which will be accepted December 1 by the Air National Guard units from Cheyenne, Denver, and Salt Lake City. |
