Show Women in Politics Subject at Club W. W. Brockbank gave an interesting in-teresting talk on Women's Place in Politics at the meeting of the Mothers Study club at the home of Mrs. R. A. Huntington Friday afternoon. Supt. Brockbank explained the importance of women thinking for themselves; studying the candidates candi-dates and deciding who and what they favored. It is her duty as a citizen, he said. . Mrs. Philda Finley reported on the Legislative Council meeting and Mrs. Maude Thorn read the club collect. In a short business meeting, the club voted to bring a gift to be given at Christmas time to inmates in-mates at the State Hospital. Twenty-two members and three guests, Mrs. Edna Smart, Mrs. Lillian Crandall and Mrs. Dickie Jane Sargeant were guests. The latter assisted her mother in serving ser-ving lunch at the close of the meeting. |
