Mr. and Mrs. Creed Weight were in Yellowstone National Park for their vacation last week. After returning from the park they also spent a day or so at the Weight ranch in Hobble rCeek. Mrs. Cecil Keid and two daughters daugh-ters spent a few days recently in Charles Irvine near Montrose. Shortly after their return they had as their guests, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Jolley of Compton, Calif. Among Springville city officials who attended the Municipal League meetings in Salt Lake City were: Glen W. Sumsion, Harold Whiting, Lloyd Ashcraft and Le-Roy Le-Roy Tingey. They were accompanied accompan-ied by their wives. Boyd Sorenon Jr., is home from the U. S. Navy visiting his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs.' Boyd Sorensen, Sr., at Brookside. For the past ten months, he has been stationed in San Diego, Calif., where he has graduated from a fire control technicians school. Prior to this he completed two tours of duty in Korean waters aboard the radar picket destroyer USS Duncan. Following Fol-lowing his leave he will return to duty with the Pacific Destroyer Force based at Pearl Harbor. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Johnson and family have been feted by friends here the past week prior to their leaving to make their home in Fontana, Calif., where Mr. Johnson is employed. The Johnsons John-sons are planning to sell their home here. Mrs. Grace Baker had as her guests last week Mr.' and Mrs. Kirk Leander and daughter Nancy of Provo and Mrs. Andrew Leander Lean-der of Craig, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Conover attended the Utah State Press Association convention in Grand Canyon over the weekend. Their Jown . . . Mrs. Beama Combs and son Ned of Sutherland, Nebr., have returned return-ed to their home after a short visit with relatives and friends in this city and Salt Lake City. She was the house guest of her sister, Mrs. G. D. Kennedy in Springville and attended the wedding of her niece in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Russell and daughter Kathleen, returned recently re-cently from a visit with their son John J. Russell and family in Long Beach, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Kex Roylance had as their guests over the weekend, Mr. and Mrs. Nell Dean of San Diego. Mrs. Dean and Mrs. Roylance Roy-lance were friends in California. It was the Dean's first visit in Utah and they planned to tour the Canyons enroute home. A number of Springville people attended the Roylance family reunion re-union at Liberty park Sunday in Salt Lake City including: Mr. and Mrs. George Roylance and family, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Sperry and family of Nephi, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins and family, Mr. and Mrs. Blair Warner and family of Spanish Fork, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Roylance and family, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Roylance and son, Mr. and Mrs. Mell Kelly, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Roylance and family of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Shirt Barnett have had as their guests Dr. and Mrs. Ferron Losee and family of Los Angeles, Cal. Mrs. Barnett & Mrs. Losee are sisters and considerable time was spent during their stay at the canyon home of their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Julian Greer in Provo canyon. Several parties were given to honor the visitors and during their stay, Dr. Losee and Mr. Barnett went on a fishing fish-ing trip on the Madison river near West Yellowstone. , Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Parson had as their guests recently Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Barker, parents of ; Mrs. Parson, also Mrs. Lo Embry all of North Ogden. On Monday, they made a trip to Wayne Wonderland Won-derland and the Capitol Reef monument. mon-ument. Mr. and Mrs. Royal Barney have had' as their guests the past week Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Barney of California, who were enroute to their home after visiting in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lloyd were in Richfield one day the past week to attend the 40th wedding anniversary anni-versary of Mrs. Lloyd's parents, Dr. and Mrs. E. W. Poulson. Others of the family who planned to attend at-tend were: Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Peterson and family of Provo, Dr. and Mrs. Talmadge Thompson of Pleasant Grove, Dr. and Mrs. S. E. Poulson of Salt Lake City and Dr. and Mrs. Dave Bodily of Pasadena, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Graham have had Mrs. Graham's parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Lail of Broken Arrow, Okla., as their guests for five weeks, the couple having re-turned re-turned to their home on Thursday. They were accompanied here by Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bowles, daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law of Fairbanks. Alaska, who traveled down to Oklahoma before coming to Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Sumsion have as their guests, their daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Reid Perry and two children of Santa Ana, Calif. Mr. Perry returned re-turned home and his wife, the former for-mer Elsie Sumsion, remained for her sister Suzanne's wedding.
