Show Luncheon, 500 ' Club Diversions An early luncheon followed by 500 were features of entertainment entertain-ment for members of the SMS club when they met at the home of Mrs. Lucille Whitehead last Thursday evening. New officers elected for the year include: R. 'Toise Riding, president; Mrs.. Ruth Shurtleff, secretary and Mrs. Aleen Weight, reporter. During the 500 games, Mrs. Grace Harmer, Mrs. Marie Stone and Mrs. Louise Robertson won prizes. The next party for club members was arranged for March 22 to be at the home of Mrs. Elsie Allman. Mr. and Mrs. Lacell Sumsion and children visited over Sunday in Richfield with Mrs. Sumsion's mother, Mrs. Harriet Johnson and daughter, Mrs. Rulla Fullenbach and other relatives and friends. Mrs. Jermina Cazair has returned re-turned to her home in Mapleton, following several months visit with her son, Earl Cazier and family at Niles, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bird of Mapleton had as their guests recently, re-cently, Mrs. Emma Jean Manwar-ing Manwar-ing of Rexburg, Ida., and Mrs. Jennie Hill of Salt Lake City. Glenn Ruff, son of Mrs. Erma Morgan, is on leave from the Navy spending the time with relatives and friends in Sprflngvine. He spent the past few months in Korean Kor-ean waters. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Anderson left Wednesday on a two-weeks vacation trip which will take them to California and Arizona. They planned to visit Mrs. Andersron's sister, Mrs. Hazel McEwan and other relatives and friends at Los Angeles and travel down the coast to San Diego, where they will also visit friends. At Phoenix, Ariz., they will spend some time with their son, Clifton, Guymon and family and from there will go to Winslo, Gallup and several other cities and Indian villages to visit their Indian friends and acquaintances acquaint-ances made while serving on an LDS mission in that vicinity. Mrs. George Roylance, accompanied accomp-anied by Mrs. Cecil Reid visited last Tuesday with Mrs. Roylance' s sister, Mrs. Thomas Youd in Lake Shore. Mrs. Youd is a former missionary mis-sionary companion of Mrs. Reid and they spent an enjoyable day having a birthday dinner with Mrs. Youd and going with her to Relief Society in the afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Gustin have returned from an enjoyable two weeks vacation to Arizona, Mexico Mex-ico and Southern California. They accompanied their son, Mont E. Gustin and wife and two children back to Tuscon, following a visit made by them to visit relatives here and in Spanish Fork. Sgt Gustin, Gus-tin, on a two-weeks furlough, is stationed as instructor at the Gunnery Gun-nery school at Tuscon. |
