Show GROUNDS ARE CLEARED FOR BEAUTIFYING A faithful determination to convert con-vert an unsightly dumping" ground into a city beauty spot has prompted prompt-ed the Springville Flower Garden club, under the leadership of President Maud Thorn, to clear the grounds south of the Third ward amusement hall, on Main street, in preparation for the planting of lawns, flowers and shrubs. The work was outlined as the major club project early this spring and since that time two large sign boards which partly conceal the grounds on the east, have been placed at the back of the grounds, while the land has been cleared of brush and other debris accumulated over a period of many years. Several truck-loads truck-loads of soil also. have been placed over the grounds which, bordered by HohlA'c Creek on the south makes an ideal flower garden ' spot. Water hydrants also have been installed for irrigation purposes pur-poses and the grounds will soon be ready for planting. It is a highly commendable project pro-ject and one "which undoubtedly will claim the attention, cooperation coopera-tion and congratulations of Springville Spring-ville citizens as well as others who visit the city. |
