Show PIONEER DIES HERE AT HOME OF DAUGHTER Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the Pay-son Pay-son Second ward chapel for Mrs. Permelia S. Taylor, 8b, mother of Mrs. Edward Anthon of this city, who died at her daughter's home here Sunday, of ailments incident to her age. Burial was in the Payson city cemetery. Mrs. Taylor, widow of John T. Taylor, was born in Surrey county, coun-ty, North Carolina, October 11, 1850, a daughter of Emanuel and Basah J. Brown Spainhower. She was married September 26, 1867, in North Carolina. Two years later she came with her husband to Utah as converts to the L.D.-S. L.D.-S. church. Their home had been open for some time to L. D. S. misFionaries in the south. Mrs. Taylor lived in Payson, until 1935, and had taken an especially active part in church work during her early life. She had lived with her daughter here for two years. Mr. Taylor died in 1924. Five sons and daughters survive: sur-vive: Mrs. Leatha Stickney, San-taquin: San-taquin: Mrs. Mary Wilson and John H. Taylor, Payson; D- M. Taylor, Huntington Park, Calif; Mrs. Anthon, Springville; 36 grandchildren and 75 great grandchildren. grand-children. a. |
