The Diamond Fork-Hc-b-bie Creek snow course was established estab-lished in 1936 and the first meas-.uienierLtawe. meas-.uienierLtawe. e made Mai ch 27, 1937. This course is located on what is known as the Pumphouse Ridge and is fairly representative of the Diamond Fork and Hobble 1 Creek watersheds. The measure-ments measure-ments showed a snow depth of V 19.75 inches with a water content of 7.62 inches on April 1, as compared com-pared with a snow depth of forty-four forty-four inches and water content of 17.6 inches in 1937, and a snow depth of '35.6 inches with water content of 11.75 inches for 1938. All measurements were made between be-tween March 27 and April 1. At the present time particularly all of the water is going into the ground with very little runoff Mr. Nielson said. |
