Show BLISS CHILDS RECEIVES ART RECOGNITION Selected from eighty entries, a painting by Bliss Childs of this city was chosen as one of two paintings which will be presented to two Women's Federated clubs of Utah which has been most active ac-tive in fostering art and art projects, proj-ects, during the last year, according accord-ing to word received here. Mr. Child's winning canvass was entitled, "Here Comes Daddy," Dad-dy," and portrays a little boy looking from a window. Judging of the picture entries was by Mrs. John E. Velton, Mrs. I Georgina Marriott, tooth of Ogden, and JVTrs. Will'ord W. Richards of Logan. The presentation of the pictures to the clubs will be made by Mrs. Claude S. Peacock, chair-, chair-, man of the fine arts division of the Utah Federation of Women's clubs, at a meeting of the federation federa-tion in Ogden, April 17, 18 and 19. The Self-Culture club of Garland Gar-land and the Kindergarton club of Brigham City will receive the paintings. Though he does not follow painting as a vocation, it is a special spe-cial hobby with Mr. Childs ancl his work has received some fine comment from art critics of the state. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Childs of this city. |
