Show LOCAL FIRM GETS CONTRACT Bids for grading and graveling more than 11 miles on the Logan-Colliston Logan-Colliston road were let to W. W. Ciyde and Co., of this city at the office of the road commission in Salt Lake City, Friday. The low bid was $134,464.39. With $1800 to be spent under force account and the usual 10 per cent for engineering and contingencies, the total cost of the project will be $149,890.88. The stretch to be improved is from the Beaver River bridge 6.5 miles west of Logan to a point just west of Colliston. From Logan to the bridge the road now is up to gravel standard. Oiling of the entire distance will be let under a later contract. The project is one on the partial par-tial federal aid program on which the road commission obtained federal fed-eral approval some time ago. The first project under the program pro-gram calls for oiling of U. S. 40 between Vernal and the Colorado Colo-rado state line, which is now under contract. |
