Cougar tellers To Try Lack in Division Tourney Although Couch Fred Dixon's Brigham Younrr university tennis team likely will meet University of Utah in a playoff for the western west-ern division championship next week the Cougars are focusing their immediate attention on the division tournament at Salt Lake City Friday and SJaturrlay. Teams of B. Y. U., Utah, and Utah Aggies will engage in the annual western division tourney, from which will emerge new doubles and singles champions. Last year Giant Evans of University Uni-versity of Utah won the singles title, and paired with Dick Ben-nion Ben-nion to annex the doubles crown. B. Y. U. and Utah each will be allotted three doubles and three singles teams in the tournament, with Utah Aggies getting the remaining re-maining two teams. The racketeers will play down to the semi-finals Friday, then will wind up the meet Saturday morning prior to the western division track and field meet. Coach Dixon said Monday that Malcolm Booth, Bill Pardoe, and George Stoddard will represent B. Y. U. in singles. Booth and Far-doe, Far-doe, Stoddard and Kirk Stephens, and Captain Gordon Snow and either Charles Fletcher or Grant Holt will form the doubles combinations. com-binations. University of Utah's singles players likely will be Dick Bun-nion, Bun-nion, Dan Freed and Gene Eard-ley. Eard-ley.
