Show SOCIETY NEVS: E. O. Hall. The Ava Delma bridge club held thou- Christmas party Saturday night at the home of Mrs. Evelyn Fry. Prizes were won during the evening's games by Mrs. Fry and Viola Smith. Eight members were present and Miss Margaret Pierce was a special guest. Gifts were exchanged and luncheon served at the close of the party. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Robison of Lchi, spent the early part of the week with Mr. and Mrs. John Dougall. Mr. Robison is convalescing conval-escing from a recent appendicitis operation. ; Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Gore entertained enter-tained at a family social at their home last Sunday evening, the occasion being their twenty-eighth wedding anniversaries. Eighteen guests enjoyed the evening of music, social chat and lunch. Blaine Clyde entertained a group of friends at a holiday party at his home Thursday evening. Progressive cards and a tasty lunch were enjoyed by all. In honor of her husband whose birthday was Wednesday, Mrs. Solon S. Wood entertained a number of friends at a party at their home that evening. A variety of games featured the entertainment entertain-ment at the conclusion of which lunch was served to Clifton and Elwood Hall, Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Hall, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Haymond, Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Averett, Mr. and Mrs. John Patrick, and Mrs. Mary Wood. Members of the Ladies Literary club will meet with Mrs. Hannah Callister Thursday, January 3. A paper on Francis Bretharte, by Mrs. Mercedes Anderson will feature feat-ure the program. Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Hall entertained enter-tained a large group of relatives at their home Sunday night at a family Christmas gift exchange party. A delightful time was spent ' with games and social chat, also a tasty two-course lunch. A number of relatives from out of town sent gifts and tnose in attendance at-tendance were Mr. and Mrs. Ruel Averett, Mr. ad Mrs. Fred Averett, Aver-ett, Mr. and Ms. Farn Averett, Mr. and Mrs. Lew Averett, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Clements, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Haymond, and Mr. and Mrs. Hardy Childs. Mell Royla'nce of Hazelton, Ida., is visiting his daughter, Mrs. Arthur Arth-ur Finley and family here. Mr. and Mrs. La Celle Sumsion were called to Richfield last Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon due to the death of their brother-in-law J. J. Fuel-lenback. Fuel-lenback. Verl Whiting, Boyd Page and Fred Page of Payson spent several clays of the past week visiting the Boulder dam. Mrs. Selina Kelsey is visiting with Major and Mrs. E. L. Nye at the Presidio, California. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Smith of Salt Lake visited friends and relatives rela-tives here during the holidays. Mr, and Mrs. Ed Clyde left the past week for California. They plan to visit a short time in Berkeley, Berke-ley, "and will be accompanied home by Mrs. Nora J. Clyde who has been visiting her daughter, Clara and family there. Mrs. Grace Clark of this city announces the marriage of her daughter Josephine to Blaine H. Smith, also of this city, which took place September 28, at Bountiful. The young couple plan to make their home in Springville. Miss Charlotte Hall who is at-. at-. tending L.-.
