Show What's Doing! In Kiwanis One of the most successful social so-cial events in the Kiwanis club calendar was the Hallowe'en get-together get-together social in the form of a banquet and program at Memorial Mem-orial hall Thursday night. Ally cats, old fashioned men and women, wo-men, ghosts, goblins, and numerous num-erous other characters vied for the honor of best dressed guest of the evening, as they paraded in a grand march preceding the evening's main entertainment. Still in masks, the club members mem-bers and their partners found their places at the long banquet table which was beautifully and nDnronriatelv decorated with hot- house chrysanthemums in pumpkin pump-kin vases. The group joined ' in singing, led by the young bucaroo Harrison Harri-son Conover, with Mrs. Bell Thomas at the piano. Noise-making Noise-making toys were given as favors and as the evening's program progressed Hallowe'en hats replaced re-placed the fun-making masks. Eli Tippets gave a reading and Max Mendenhall, a vocal solo, accompanied by Miss lone Aver-ett. Aver-ett. A goblin trio composed of Mrs. W.- W. Brockbank, Mrs. Harold Christensen and Mrs. S. J. Boyer entertained with two numbers. Y. Wheeler and A. O. Packard. To the latter she presented a lovely black cat, which w. alas, not warmly received. A pleasing and entertaining ; coincidence of the evening was the awarding of the attendance prize, a big Rhode Island hen and rooster to Mr. and Mrs,- J. O. Reynolds. The entire evening's entertainment entertain-ment was under the clever management man-agement of Joseph W. Grant, who was ably assisted by Mrs. Grant, with president M. W. Bird in charge.
