Show Changes Urged in U. S. Banking Laws WASHINGTON, March 23 (U.R) Comptroller of the C'Trenoy J. F. T. O'Connor suggested "correc- live and clarifying amendments" to present banking laws today in a 178 page report to Speaker Joseph W. Byrns. The suggested changes would enlarge powers of the Comptroller's Comptrol-ler's office and extend his authority author-ity over the nation's banks. These were made by O'Connor in his annual an-nual report. His 1935 annual report re-port worked the basis for the 1935 i banking act. |
