MONROK, Utah, Oct. 15. i:.l! A young and inexperienced bandit who thought bank vaults were unlocked un-locked with keys, was sought today to-day by authorities following the robbery yesterday of the Monroe .State bank of $260. Police expected an early arrest and lw.d practically identified the tyro robber. Displaying a revolver, the young man demanded keys to the vault so he could lock up Mrs. Vera Smith and Mrs. Ella Bowman, the only employes in the bank. The actual j vault mechanism was carefully cx-! cx-! plained to the youth and then the j women were escorted to the vault. I Tho robber took only money j available in the cage. He did not molest a locked strong box in the vau.'t. j The hold-up was timed when men j employed at the bank were out to . lunch. |
