Show Loses Arm In Freak Mishap OAKLAND, Cal., Aug. 8 (U.H) Henry Heimar, 28, of Klamath Falls, Ore., rode for several minutes min-utes Sunday after a truck was passed before he knew his arm had been severed above the elbow. He was in an automobile driven by Axton Jones, 20, of Alameda. A projection on the truck struck his rig'ht arm as it rested over the cai door. He complaied of being- hurt. Several miles beyond the spot, he turned to Jones and said: "See here, my right arm is gone." Jones stepped on the gas and they raced to Highland Hospitall, w'here Heimar walked unaided to the .operating room. There he fainted from loss of blood. A Wood transfusion by Jones had apparently appar-ently saved his life today. |
