Wheeler of j this city announce the marriage of their daughter, Mabel, to Mervin D. i Wright, son of Mrs. Sarah Wright I of Provo, which took place Monday in the Salt Lake temple. The young couple will make their home in Springville. P. club members will be guests of Mrs. Maurice Bird at her ' home Saturday evening. All are requested to be present. Mrs. Arvil Bird entertained at a bridge luncheon at her home Thursday Thurs-day for Ogdcn friends, inoluding Mrs. James S. McGregor and daughter, Agatha McGregor, Miss Bernice Shelby and Miss Beulah Ncbeker. Mrs. E. W. Brown is spending the week with her daughter, Mrs. J. E. Hoyle in Salt Lake City. In honor of Berne Kindred who left late last Thursday evening for his mission in the south-central states, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kindred entertained at a nicely arranged dinner at their home that evening. In attendance were Mr. and Mrs. John R. Kindred and family, Mr. I and Mrs. Creed Kindred, the host and hostess an guest of honor. Miss Corinne Robertson, Miss Edith Nash and Miss Ilah Steven-I son entertained at a miscellaneous' shower at the liome of the latter Monday for Miss Mabel Wheeler, a bride of this week. Fall flowers were used as decorations throughout through-out the entertaining rooms. The guests enjoyed an evening of music and games, followed by lunch. Many rpetty gifts were presented Miss Wheeler. For her little daughter, Pauline, who was six years old Friday, Mrs. C O. Progressive games followed by refreshments were features of an enjoyable party given Saturday evening by Miss Coe Packard at her home in honor of Miss Fawn Livingston who was visiting here from Logan. In attendance were Miss Marie Simkins, Miss Silo Poul-son, Poul-son, Miss Margaret Bird, Miss Margaret Mar-garet Fox, Miss Aleen Vane, the hostess and guest of honor. A large number of relatives and close friends from Springville attended at-tended a shower given Saturday evening by Mrs. Sarah Wright at her home in Provo complimentary to Miss Mabel Wheeler, who was this week married to Mervin Wright. Ed Clark, a former resident of Springville, has returned to his home in Oakland, Calif., after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. James Stevenson Stev-enson and other relatives here. This ! was the first visit Mr. Clark, has ' made in Springville for 21 years. A number of friends including Mr. and Mrs. Will Witney, Mr: and Mrs. Leo Lucas, Mr. and Mrs. Roy-lance, Roy-lance, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Cher-rington Cher-rington and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Rowland surprised Mr. and Mrs. William Halliday with a party at their home last Saturday evening. The time was spent with music, social chat and luncheon. Miss Marion Miner, Coba Coffell and Norma Harrison gave a party at the home of the latter Friday evening for Lulu Hatch, whose birthday occurred that day. Social Twelve club members spent a delightful evening Thursday at the home of Mrs. Hazel Harrison. Three tables of progressive bridge were played and high score prize awarded to Mrs. Lois Clegg. Mrs Ora Rowland, Mrs. Philda Finley and Mrs. Melba Pennington were appointed a committee to arrange for a Hallowe'en party. Luncheon was served by the hostess to twelve club members present, Mrs". Aleen Hardy has returned td her home in Berkeley, Calif., after several days with her father Arch H. Bird and other relatives herc; in Payson and in Salt Lake.
