Show MANY ATTEND SERVICES FOR MRSJOHNSON Largely attended funeral services : for Mrs. Hannah Matilda Menden-hail Menden-hail Johnson, 73, wife of Willis K. Johnson, Sr., of Springville, who 'died late Saturday afternoon following fol-lowing a long illness, were held Monday in the Third ward chapel. Charles Boyer of the ward bishopric, bish-opric, presided. The speakers were Patriarch O. B. Huntington, Bishop S. L. Men-denhall, Men-denhall, Jr., of the Fourth ward, and Aaron Mendenhall of Maple-ton. Maple-ton. Elmo Coffman sang two solos; Mr. and Mrs. Guy Brown furnished a vocal duet, and Mrs. Isabell B. Brown, a vocal solo. The invocation was offered by Bishop R. L. Mendenhall of Maple-ton, Maple-ton, the benediction by M. W. Bird of the Third ward bishopric. Interment In-terment was in the Evergreen cemetery. cem-etery. Mrs. Johnson was born in Springville, Spring-ville, June 12, 1858, the daughter of William find Sarah Lovell Mendenhall, Menden-hall, who were among the , first settlers in Springville. Mrs. Johnson John-son had always made her home there and had been active in L. D. S. church affairs during her early life. She had been an invalid for the past several years. Surviving are her husband, four step-dons and one step-daughter as follows: Willis K. Johnson, Jr., Richard and George Johnson and Miss Edna Johnson of Springville nnd Chester Johnson of Salt Lake. |
