Show Golden Wedding 'Enjoyed By Springville Couple : . 1 G i Fifty years of martial happiness was celebrated by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Binks at their home last Wednesday evening when their children surprised them with a reception re-ception party. Both are pioneers of Springville and have taken an active part in religious and civic activities of the community. Mr. Binks was born April 23, 1859 in Pittsburgh, Penn. Coming to Utah with his father and a brother, the mother and another an-other brot her having been buried while crossing the plains. They first settled atr Bountiful and later came to Springville. He has lived here for fifty-five years. Mrs. Binks was born November j 15, 1856 the daughter of "William and Ann D. Bramall. She was married mar-ried to Mr. Binks Fcruary 19, 1880 in the Salt Lake Endowment house. They are the parents of nine children, chil-dren, six of whom are living and were present at the celebration. They are: John Binks of Salt Lake City; T. W. Binks, Charleston; Frank Binks, Miss May Binks and Mrs. Emma Rowland of Springville. A program of games, musk: and social chat were outstanding features fea-tures of the party and was followed y a tasty luncheon served to nearly 25 family members present. |
