(U.niThc five amendments amend-ments upon which people of Utah will vote next November, Novem-ber, as a result of action in the special session of the legislature arc as follows: 1. Classification of property, prop-erty, with limitations for six years on income taxes. Three-fourths Three-fourths of the money obtained from taxes on intangibles and incomes will be used to rc- I duce the district school t levy, the other fourth to go into the state general fund. 2. Giving the state legislature legisla-ture more power in the taxation taxa-tion of mines, the present multiple plan tQ remain unchanged un-changed until Jan. 1, 1935. 3. Permitting the legisla-- legisla-- ture to remove the state prison pris-on from Salt Lake county. 4. Giving the state board of equalization the duties of the tax revision commission., together with its present powers. 5. Giving the legislature the right to decide how vacancies va-cancies in the legislature may be filled. |
