Show FISH AND GAME PROBLEMS ARE DISCUSSED Conservation of game birds and animals and the amount of work accomplished in this direction by protective fish and game associations associa-tions throughout the state were the principal themes developed at a meeting of the Springville Fish and Game association held Monday evening. President V. O. Hafen was in charge. Chief Deputy Cook, David Madsen ,of Salt Lake and Secretary Evans of the state fish and game association were the principal speakers. Prizes offered two weeks ago by the association to the individual making the largest catch of destructive de-structive birds and animals were awarded at:- follows : Mark Law, first prize, a fishing pole and dip net; Ray Lambson, second prize an automatic reel; George Cox, third prize, box of shot gun shells' Hundreds Hun-dreds of pests were killed during the campaign according to officials of the association. In a report of the recent membership member-ship drive it was .stated that 101 members now belong to the local association which is probably the largest enrollment since the organization or-ganization of the association here. At the conclusion of the meeting meet-ing refreshments were served to approximately seventy-five sportsmen sports-men present. |
