Show 9 SUGAR BEET PLANTSTO RUN SALT LAKE CITY, July 25. (U.H) Sugar manufacturing plans of the Utah-Idaho Sugar company have been announced by William R. Cannon, vice president and general manager of the concern. Cannon said the company would operate nine plants this fall. Three will be in Utah, three in Idaho, and one each in South Dakota, Washington Wash-ington and Montana. The factories will begin operation opera-tion in October and will continue approximately three months. The company will pay out in the neighborhood neigh-borhood of $2,000,000 in wages. Cannon predicted that the company com-pany would handle this fall approximately approx-imately 590,000 tons, he said Utah would supply 225,000 tons, Idaho about the same amount, and the remainder would be spread through South Dakota, Montana and Washington. |
