Show Conference Is ' Well Attended SALT LAKE CITY. Oct. 7 (I.PI--Members of the L. D. S. church who ! gathered here from all sections of the country were enroute to their homes today after attending the three-day sessions of the hundredth semi-anr.ua conference of the L. D. S. church. The largest gathering in the history his-tory of the church was attracted to t lie confeieice and church officials were rejoicing over what was declared de-clared to have been their most successful suc-cessful convention. President Heber J. Grant brought the conference to a close late yesterday yes-terday after asking divine aid for Ramsay MacDonald and President Herbert Hoover in their movement toward world peace. The speakers at the final session in the tabernacle Sunday afternoon in addition to President Grant were, Levi Edgar Young of the first council jf the seventy; C. V. Nibley, second counselor To President Presi-dent Grant; Jo-soph L. Peterson, former president of the Danish mission mis-sion ; John . P. Lilly white, former president of the Netherlands, mission; mis-sion; John G. Allied, former president presi-dent of the north central states mission; James H. Moyle, president of he eastern states mission; Miles L. Jones, president of the east central cen-tral si ates mission, and Arthur Welling, president of the. north central cen-tral states mission. |
