Show FINANCES OF CITY ARE OKEH SAYS AUDITOR A special audit of the financial affairs of Springville city has just boon completed by Amos Wood, special auditor, according to city officials. The audit covers a period from January 1. 11)28 to August 31, 1929, during which time .the city's finances are properly accounted ?jr, the auditor states. The business in all departments of the city is handled in a very careful and efficient ef-ficient manner. ' The administration's action in redeeming the J.7,000 balance on old waterworks bonds before maturity, matur-ity, and at the same time meeting all serial bonds when due and providing sinking funds for the payment of long term bonds, should be highly recommended, the auditor audi-tor declares. Mr. Pennington and Mr. Russell, recorder and treasurer, respectively, respective-ly, should be complimented for the efficiency shown in the administration administra-tion of these offices, says the report. The auditor advises a close study of the needs of the city and recommendations recom-mendations for budget appropriations appropria-tions should be filed with the city recorder as soon as possible, as this should be attended to by November 1, Mr. Wood points out. The records of the justice of the peace are incomplete, the audit indicates, in-dicates, and recommends that these records be brought up to date. |
