Show intermountain states. The purpose of these (uestionnaires was to find out from representative coaches what alterations should be made in the present basketball rules. Must of these questionnaires have been returned with some suggestions sugges-tions for rule changes mid the suggestions sug-gestions have been tabulated and sent to Mr. St. John for use nt the rules committee session on April 11. General satisfaction has been expressed ex-pressed by the intermountain hoop sport conches on the new rules, but requests have been made for clarification clari-fication of such regulations as those governing progression and dribbling through. An interesting suggestion comes from n Colorado coach to the effect ef-fect that a regular "batting order" lie arranged for pitching fouls, and that this order be maintained throughout the contest. This mentor men-tor feels that it is too difficult for officials to observe nt the same time both who is fouled and who has committed the offense. The proposed batting order would bring all the players into foul pitching and avoid mistakes. ROBERTS ASKED TO HELP WRITE BASKET RULES L. V. St. John, chairman of the' national basketball rules committee," commit-tee," has written to Director E. L. Koberts of the Brihain Vounjr university, a member of the national na-tional advisory rules committee, inviting in-viting him to attend the annual meeting of the rules committee which has been called for April , 11, at the University of Pennsylvania Pennsyl-vania club in New York City. Mr. Roberts will be unable to attend the session on account of important impor-tant work at the B. Y. U.
