Mr. and Mrs. Charles Martin, Miss Haroldine and Maud Martin, Mrs. Mary Reynolds of Salt Lake, Mr. Arnold Rnssmuson, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Reed and children, Ralph, Jr., and Evyln left early Tuesday morning for a two weeks vacation trip to California. Mrs. M. A. Reynolds spent last week in Salt Lake visiting with relatives and friends. A swimming party was enjoyed at Glengarry Saturday evening by the following girls, Vera Sumsion, Goldie Jenkins, Bessie Brown, Mel-ba Mel-ba Sumsion and Inn Sumsion. After the swim dainty refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Brown, and son Bert, aud "Mr., and Mre. -Feed Brown spent Saturday and Sunday in Salt Lake, the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Hoyle. Mrs. Neil Davis of Provo visited in Springville Friday with her mother, Mrs. Henry Sumsion. Mrs. Lydia Palfreyman entertained enter-tained at a dinner party Sunday. Covers were laid for Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Harmer, lone and Eldon Palfreyman and Miss Afton Jones of Spanish Fork. Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Greenwood and family and Miss Florence Greenwood of Nephi were the week-end guests of Dr. and Mrs. Nelson Beal. Miss Helen Barlow of 'Morgan has been visiting during the week with Miss Vera Sumsion. Miss Sumsion accompanied her to her home Monday where she will spend several days. Miss Enid Mendenhnll of Shis city and the Misses Cleoue nnd Celestia Lasson of Fairview motored motor-ed to Bryce's canyon Saturday where they expect to spend several sev-eral days. The Misses Lasson have been the guests of Miss Mendenhnll Menden-hnll for the past week in Springville. Spring-ville. Miss Jessie Puckhrd and Miss Julia Johnson returned to their home Sunday evening nfter spending spend-ing the past two weeks in California. Cali-fornia. Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Mrs. Jessie Dnlton entertained a number of friends at a card party at her home Friday evening. Three fall's of progressive "500" was played with Leona Gudmondsen winning high score prize nnd Portia Davis the consolation. A dainty luncheon wns served to Miss Virginia Vir-ginia Wnrthnn, Ruth Smith, Leona Gudmondsen, Portia Davis, Ruth Boyer, Anna Starr, Anna Harwnrd, Lillian Thorpe, Alice Johnson. Ar-leen Ar-leen Memory, nnd Josephine Clark. Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Harrison and family spent Sunday with their daughter Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Holley at Mnpleton. A charming entertainment was given at the home of the Misses Florence and La von Daley Sunday evening. The season's flowers in various shades were arranged throughout the entertaining rooms. Games were played and a delicious chicken dinner was served to the following fol-lowing guests: Mnrie Burt, Elsie Harker, Bessie Wannncott, Walt Lewis and Jack Robertson of Provo, Sterling Chntwin, Owen Tugertson and the hostesses. Mrs. C. L. Dyett and children of Soldier Summit 'with her sister Bessie Wanuacott spent last week with friends and relatives in Suit Lake. Mrs. Ben Holley, Miss Marie Ward and Mrs. Piersol Brinton motored mot-ored to Murray Friday and spent the day with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Miller. Saturday they motored to Bingham and were the guests of Mr. and Mrs W. R. Gammell. Miss Ruth Boyer is spending her two weeks vacation in Salt Lake City the guest of Miss Relia Allen. Miss May Jensen who is a nurse at the L. D. S. hospital in Salt Lnke is spending a few days in Springville Spring-ville with Miss Ella Wnrd. Miss Florence nnd Lnvon Daley left Monday for Portland.
