Miss Nell Sumsion of Salt Lake City is visiting this week in Spring-ville Spring-ville with her brothers and sister; and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Dalton, Miss Leona Gudmundson and Blanch Woodword of Idaho motored to Fairview Sunday and were the dinner din-ner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Bench. Dr. and Mrs. John Anderson have returned from a week's vacation trip through Yellowstone. Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Deal and children motored to Morgan Sunday and spent the day with Mr. and Mrs. Dasil Smith. Mrs. H. V. Sorenson of Fairview will return to her home Monday after spending three weeks with her daughter. Mrs. John Anderson. The officers of the Daughters of the Pioneers met with the Kiwanis and their wives at the . Kiwanis luncheon Thursday evening to discuss dis-cuss plans for the erection of a monument in honor of the pioneer mothers. John Mendenhall took charge. Ralph Smart acted as master mas-ter of ceremonies. Sculptor Cyrus E. Dnllin was present and gave a talk in which he offered his services ser-vices free for this cause. H. T. Reynolds, Milan Packard, , E. E. Knudsen, Mrs. Mary Finley. Mrs. Olive Anderson, Elmo Coffman and Mayor G. R. Maycock all gave short talks in favor of a monument. monu-ment. The Kiwanis sang a selection, selec-tion, it being the first since Mr. Coffman returned from his mission. Mrs. G. R. Maycock won the attendance attend-ance prize. Mr. and Mrs. H. MeDougall spent Thursday in American Fork with Dr. and Mrs. Phillip Kelley. Mr. and Mrs. Gus Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Knudsen spent Sunday and Monday fishing, at Strawberry s,i- Mrs. Arvill Bird left Friday for Salt Lake, where she will visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Lambert. She will be the guest of her parents during the latter part of the week at Parley's canyon.. Mr. and Mrs. Jess Weight of Salt Lake are spending a few days with their mother, Mrs. Rhema Weight, of this city. They were the guests of Mrs. Weight at Kelly's Grove Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Mrs. Mary Bates and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Piper of Salt Lake returned re-turned to the home Sunday after spendftig two weeks in Yellowstone park. Mrs. Ralph Smart and daughter Marion are the guests this week of Mrs. F. O. Lobb of Salt Lake City. IS CONVALESCING Frank Whitney of Mapleton, who has been in a Price hospital during the past month suffering from a complicated case of appendicitis which required a second operation, is reported to lie convalescing and will be released in a few days.
