The selection from the First ward was given the M. I. A. prize. The stunts which the relief societies so-cieties of the four wards and Maple-ton Maple-ton put on were very clever and a great deal of credit should be given each ward and special mention given giv-en to Mnpleton for their stunt which was comimsed by Mrs. Chris Houtz, ii Mnpleton relief society member. The Third ward won the prize for stunts, theirs being the parade of the wooden soldiers accompanied on the piano by Mrs. Mary Hill and Prof. Lewis Miller on the violin, and directed by Emma Dougall Gardner who should also receive much credit for the manner in which it was presented. pre-sented. Their costumes designed after a style of early French soldiers sold-iers namely red jackets, high hats and white trousers were very well chosen for the event. 15 members took part in the stunt.
