Show SPRINGVILLE WOMAN GIVES KIWANIS AIMS Ladies' Night at Springville Club Thursday Is Huge Success. By VILNAH GiiLBSBKOLCH "No people progress with themselves them-selves as a model,' said Mrs. Nelson Beal to the Springville Kiwanians and their ladies at the weekly luncheon lun-cheon held at the Third ward amusement hall, Thursday evening October 10, at which time the Ki-wanian Ki-wanian ladies acted as hostesses and gave the program of the evening. 'Kiwanis aids its members in the building up of the community, the nation and last but not least, the individual in-dividual himself," 5Xrs. Beal continued. con-tinued. "If you are a Kiwanian, are you working? Do you believe in your Kiwanis organization enough to help its ideals materialize? "People in this world are hungry for companionship," Mrs. Beal declared. de-clared. "It is the individual who is striving to attain his ideal, who needs your help, and it is by aiding such a person that the ideals of Kiwanis are materializing. Just such an organization is needed in the nation and the church. "Our community in its needs is helped by Kiwanis. All ideals cannot can-not take root anymore than a farmer farm-er can sow seeds and expect that every seed grow and ripen into grain. But it is expected that enough seeds will grow to insure a good harvest. Thus it is with this club ; enough effort must be put forth to make this1 club a good harvest. "It takes foresight on the part of its members enough to look ahead and see that from acorns oaks are produced. Ideals must come first before a project cau be realized. The out-come is the real object of the effort put forth." Continuing, Mrs. Beal said, "Ki-wanians "Ki-wanians make use of your franchise, fran-chise, vote ! But not without having hav-ing studied your party. Kiwanian ladies should be interested enough to vote, too. Don't tell your wives how to vote gentlemen; but when and where. "You are a part of the community, nation and club and through aiding in their up-building you are building build-ing character for yourselves. Heal success is determined by our conquest con-quest over ourselves. The question is not what can I gain, but what can I give? Kiwanians. we ladies say make vour ideals materialize!
